I wasn't as upset this time as I was when this happened to me before NYC last fall. I felt exactly like you did.

Sounds like you are weighing your options carefully. I am so adamant about homecooking that I have forced my boyfriend into seeing how expensive it gets when all you do is go out to eat VS actually cooking. So much easier, faster, you don't have to drive anywhere or leave a tip. and to be honest, its WAY healthier for you as it is not as processed and fast food. (I delivered at 8 months pregnant.) It didn't slow me down at all, but I was already a pretty slow runner (9:30/mile). I believe the most I ran during pregnancy was about 5 miles at a time, but I could do it every day without pain.

I did it for exercise, no races. I accredit only gaining 15 lbs during pregnancy to that, and the day after I had my daughter, I only had 3 pounds to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. That was my motivation - to not have to do tons of work to get back into shape after pregnancy. I'm much too lazy for that. ;o) Sarah Shumatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08178401162208967646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6399112039095446036.post-18269080126444097282013-01-06T19:53:22.449-08:002013-01-06T19:53:22.449-08:00Kayla, Brian and I are thinking about doing a CSA ...Kayla, Brian and I are thinking about doing a CSA this year. Depending on what size box you get, they can range between $20 and $60 per week for fresh, local produce (and sometimes organic). If you're trying to be healthy and eat more fresh foods, I would recommend buying local and going by the "dirty dozen" list of what you should buy organic. Though cheap, unfortunately Aldi doesn't offer anything organic or local. jwood729https://www.blogger.com/profile/18220943440189157266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6399112039095446036.post-42058020712240735872013-01-06T19:20:40.422-08:002013-01-06T19:20:40.422-08:00Aldi is the cheapest way to do it. You have to be willing to pick and choose your produce based on what they have in stock but they usually have at least the basics at awesome prices. I usually get bulk of my stuff there and go to Target or Kroger for the name brand stuff we can't live without. The majority of what we eat is fruit, veggies or beans :) if I don't go to Aldi I spend about $180 a week, but we go most of our stuff at Aldi today and a few extra things at Target and spent a total of about $120. Its expensive, but we eat ALL of it, so that makes it seem worth it! Hope that helps!!!Emilyhttp://emilythemom.tumblr.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6399112039095446036.post-47216741383694864782013-01-04T19:59:40.428-08:002013-01-04T19:59:40.428-08:00Thanks, I'll have to check her blog out! Thanks, I'll have to check her blog out!Kaylahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16611364850527978990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6399112039095446036.post-91982690021413190522013-01-04T18:02:34.302-08:002013-01-04T18:02:34.302-08:00Check out Hungry Runner Girl's blog- she blogg...Check out Hungry Runner Girl's blog- she blogged all the way through her pregnancy this year, and ran teh whole time! After reading Kisses From Katie, I started to realize how "spoiled" we are with all of our materialistic belongings, that we so desperately want, and then complain when they break, or don't do what we want them to do. We are a selfish and impatient society. Kaylahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16611364850527978990noreply@blogger.com
